Lyric: Heart after you

CREATE IN ME A NEW HEART
ONE THAT FOLLOWS YOU
PLACE IN ME A DEEP DESIRE
TO KNOW YOU AS I’M KNOWN

SET MY FEET IN YOUR WAYS
TO LIVE WORTHY OF YOUR CALL
DRAW ME NEAR TO YOU LORD
EVERY SINGLE DAY

I JUST WANT TO BE
MORE LIKE YOU
WALK WITH YOU
BESIDE ME LORD
WON’T YOU BE MY GUIDE
PLACE YOUR HEART
INSIDE MY SOUL

A HEART THAT’S EVER TRUE
ONE THAT’S AFTER YOU

ALL I DESIRE
A HEART AFTER YOU

HEALING

Matthew 18:19 NIV
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 NIV
or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

James 5:13-16 NIV
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

James 1:6 NIV

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Witness From A Wheelchair

Witness From A Wheelchair

A woman named Nancy put this ad in her local newspaper: “If you are lonely or have a problem, call me. I am in a wheelchair and seldom get out. We can share our problems with each other. Just call. I’d love to talk.” The response to that ad was surprising—30 calls or more every week.
What motivated this woman to reach out from her wheelchair to help others in need? Nancy explained that before her paralysis she had been perfectly healthy but in deep despair. She had tried to commit suicide by jumping from her apartment window, but her fall left her paralyzed from the waist down.

In the hospital, utterly frustrated, she sensed that Jesus said, “Nancy, you’ve had a healthy body but a crippled soul. From now on you will have a crippled body but a healthy soul.” As a result of that experience, she surrendered her life to Christ. When she was finally allowed to go home, she prayed for a way to share God’s grace with others, and the idea of the newspaper ad occurred to her.

Every believer can do something to help others. Limited as we may be by sickness, old age, or disability, we can still pray, call, or write. No matter what our condition, we can be effective witnesses for Jesus. —Vernon Grounds

Little things become great things when they are done to please God.

Love your enemies? Really?

Love your enemies? Really?

It takes no great spiritual powers to love your spouse, your parents, your children, and your friends. Christians aren’t the only ones to appreciate people who are kind to them--anybody can turn on charm when it’s to his or her advantage.

It takes a Christian with Spirit-power within to love people who are not nice to you. The same Savior whose first words from the cross were “Father, forgive them” said this to his disciples on the Mount: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:43-45).

People who are rude to you, bad-mouth you, hurt you, even betray you are not really the enemy. They are victims of the enemy. Every person who does you some ill was designed by the Creator to be beautiful, good, and an heir of heaven. Some of them can be won back to God’s ways, but that never happens by revenge, retaliation, or payback.

Here is a powerful way in which you can love Jesus back for the way in which he loved the unlovable (i.e., you): by returning evil with kindness, abuse with prayer, and hatred with love.

Farewell for samantha
